Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Choose an 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio for juiciness.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley Can substitute with basil or oregano.
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and milk.
  3. Use your clean hands to mix all the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced out to allow hot air to circulate.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  2. Optional: Turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes for a crispier exterior.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat by placing in a baking dish covered with foil at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
