Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons) Squeeze fresh lemons for juice.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust the amount to taste.
  • 4 cups water Add more or less to suit your taste.
  • Ice cubes For serving.
  • Lemon slices For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting your lemons in half and squeezing the juice into a measuring cup. Make sure to remove any seeds to keep your drink smooth.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Carefully add the 4 cups of water to the pitcher. Taste your lemonade; you can add more sugar or water to suit your preference for sweetness and tartness.
  4. Toss in some ice cubes to chill your lemonade fast. Serve it in beautiful glasses, garnished with lemon slices for that extra touch of finesse.

Notes

Sugar Substitutions: Consider using honey, maple syrup, or a natural sugar substitute for a healthier option. Aim to consume your lemonade fresh, but it can last in the fridge for about 3 days before losing flavor. One common mistake is not straining the lemon juice to remove seeds and pulp, which can lead to a gritty texture. Store leftovers in an airtight pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze in ice cube trays for later use.
