  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter (softened) For spreading on tortillas

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients, ensuring optional fillings like black beans or sautéed vegetables are cooked and ready.
  2. Take a soft tortilla and spread about 1 tablespoon of softened butter on one side.
Assembling
  1. Place ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese (and any optional fillings) onto the unbuttered side of the tortilla.
  2. Fold the tortilla over to create a half-moon shape and gently press down.
Cooking
  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and place the burrito in the skillet, buttered side down.
  2. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, then carefully flip it over using a spatula, adding a bit more butter if needed.
  3. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until crispy and golden.
Serving
  1. Remove the burrito from the skillet and let it sit for a minute before slicing. Serve with your favorite dips or salsas if desired.
