Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 whole lemon, juice

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by peeling and deveining your prawns if they aren't already prepared. Rinse the broccoli and cut it into florets, ensuring they're bite-sized.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Allow it to bubble but not burn.
  2. Once the butter is melted, toss in the broccoli florets. Stir occasionally for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Push the broccoli to the edges of the pan and add the minced garlic and prawns to the center. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the prawns turn pink and opaque.
  5. Mix everything gently in the pan, allowing the flavors to meld for another minute. Squeeze in lemon juice, and give it a good toss.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with additional herbs or lemon slices if desired.

Notes

For substitutions, chicken or firm tofu can be used instead of prawns. Be cautious not to overcook prawns as they may become rubbery.
