Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough Use refrigerated crescent roll dough.
  • 1 pound roast beef, thinly sliced You can use pre-sliced roast beef for convenience.
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded Feel free to substitute with your favorite cheese.
Seasoning and Broth
  • 1/2 cup beef broth Use low-sodium broth if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Optional for added flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish Optional, for added aroma and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and lay out half of the sheets onto a greased baking dish, ensuring they cover the bottom and slightly overlap.
  3. Layer the thinly sliced roast beef evenly over the crescent dough.
  4. Top the beef with the shredded provolone cheese, spreading it out evenly.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Drizzle this mixture over the cheese and beef to infuse those amazing flavors.
  6. Place the remaining crescent sheets over the filled dish and pinch the edges together to seal.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  2. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before slicing it into squares.
  3. Serve warm with a small bowl of beef broth for dipping.

Notes

If using pre-sliced roast beef, you can save time. For added flavor, top with herbs before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
