Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise to create two long halves.
- Evenly spread the marinara sauce or pizza sauce on each half of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
- Add sliced bell peppers, olives, and onions.
- Sprinkle dried oregano and garlic powder over the toppings, and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the prepared French bread pizzas on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Unbaked pizzas can be frozen for up to a month.
