  • 1 large large cucumber, sliced Select a fresh, firm cucumber.
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced Use high-quality mozzarella for better taste.
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves Fresh basil enhances the flavor.
Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Use high-quality olive oil.

Preparation
  1. Wash the tomatoes and cucumber thoroughly. Slice the tomatoes and cucumber into rounds, and also slice the mozzarella into equal pieces.
  2. Arrange the cucumber, tomato, and mozzarella slices on a large serving platter, alternating them to create a beautiful presentation.
  3. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the layers and on top of the salad for a pop of color and flavor.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Drizzle this dressing over the prepared salad.
  5. Finish with a generous sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  6. Serve immediately, or let it chill in the refrigerator for a few minutes for an even cooler taste!
