  • 4 large croissants Flaky and golden
  • 4 units eggs Fresh, large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella works great
  • 1 cup cooked chicken or turkey Halal-friendly, chopped
  • to taste units salt For seasoning
  • to taste units pepper For seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter For cooking

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, crack in the eggs and whisk them together until combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add one tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Once melted, pour in the scrambled eggs and stir gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes until just set.
  4. While the eggs cook, slice the croissants in half lengthwise. Optionally, toast them lightly for better texture.
  5. Layer the cooked eggs onto the bottom half of each croissant. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, then top with your choice of halalled protein.
  6. Place the top half of the croissant on each sandwich and return to the skillet. Cook for another 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet and serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use plant-based cheese or substitute with cooked veggies. Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet when melting cheese to achieve a gooey texture. Store wrapped in aluminum foil in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for a month.
