Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds boneless and skinless beef or chicken
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 limes juice of 2 limes
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the meat into large chunks to help it cook evenly.
  2. Mix together chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub this mixture over the meat chunks.
  3. Place the seasoned meat into the crockpot and pour lime juice and orange juice over the top.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Check when the meat is fork-tender and easily shreds apart.
Serving
  1. Shred the meat in the crockpot using two forks and mix it with the juices.
  2. Serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different spices or adjust the amount of lime and orange juice to your liking. Avoid overloading the crockpot to ensure even cooking.
