Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers but does not smoke.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the oil and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently to combine with the garlic. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  4. Stir in the fresh thyme leaves and season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add lemon juice for a zesty flavor.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, adjusting the seasoning as needed, then remove from heat.
  6. Serve drizzled over your chosen dish or in a small bowl for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, use a freezer-safe container for up to a month. Reheat gently on low heat, stirring continuously.
