Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, softened butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until combined, but take care not to over-mix—lumps are fine!
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Glazing
- While the bars are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the bars have cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top. Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy the fresh-baked aroma.
