Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts Ensure chicken is sliced into thin, equal-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned) If you don’t have Italian breadcrumbs, season plain breadcrumbs with garlic powder, oregano, and pepper.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Avoid oversaturating the buns with marinara.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 count slider buns For serving.
  • Fresh basil or parsley Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dip each chicken piece into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the coated chicken pieces on a lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Slice your slider buns in half. On the bottom half, place a piece of baked chicken. Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on top.
  3. Place the assembled sliders back in the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. For an authentic touch, sprinkle fresh basil or parsley on top before placing the bun lids. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, wrap each slider individually in foil and place in a freezer-safe bag. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes if in a hurry.
