  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well-blended.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
