Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until smoothly combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until fully blended.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed candy canes into the dough.
Baking
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto your prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Cooling
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
