Preparation
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels for better seasoning adhesion.
- Rub Cajun seasoning over the salmon fillets and add salt and pepper to taste. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked through.
Making Avocado Salsa
- In a bowl, combine diced avocado, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and the juice of 1 lime. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix gently.
Serving
- Plate the cooked salmon and top generously with the avocado salsa. Squeeze with remaining lime juice before serving.
Notes
For milder seasoning, substitute Cajun seasoning with a blend of garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
