Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper. Drain any excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and white vinegar to create the creamy sauce.
Assembly
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the cooked beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
- Drizzle half of the prepared sauce over the beef, then sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on top.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
Baking
- Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let it cool for a couple of minutes, then top with the remaining cheese, shredded lettuce, diced pickles, and the rest of the sauce.
Notes
