Cooking Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions, approximately 15-20 minutes.
- While the rice is cooking, heat a pan over medium heat, add the ground beef, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Mix in the soy sauce.
- Add the mixed vegetables to the same pan. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender.
- Fry the egg in a separate small pan until the whites are set but yolk remains runny.
- In a bowl, layer the cooked rice, seasoned beef, sautéed vegetables, and top with the fried egg.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the top, add gochujang to taste, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Mix everything together in your bowl until well combined. Enjoy!
Notes
For substitutions, replace ground beef with ground chicken or turkey for a leaner option, or tofu/tempeh for a vegetarian dish. To save time, use leftover rice or pre-cut vegetables. Avoid overcooking the veggies to keep them vibrant and crunchy.
