Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, trimmed
  • 1 cup your favorite barbecue sauce (ensure it’s halal-compliant) Feel free to substitute with a preferred sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, turning them halfway through.
  3. Once golden and cooked through, remove them from the oven and brush on your favorite barbecue sauce.
  4. Return the wings to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize.
Serving
  1. Take the wings out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the wings in barbecue sauce for at least an hour before cooking. Consider broiling for 2-3 minutes at the end for extra crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 2 months.
