Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Stir until the mixture forms a rough dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 1-2 minutes until it’s smooth. Don't over-knead; you want to keep that perfect chewy texture!
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a log about 8-10 inches long, then shape it into a bagel by joining the ends together.
- Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the bagels to give them that beautiful golden color.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bagels are golden brown.
- Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before indulging.
Notes
Substitutions: If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own by combining all-purpose flour with baking powder and salt. Storing: Place in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until warm.
