Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Peel and chop your ripe pears into small, uniform pieces.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped pears until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
