Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 bag Frozen French fries Check the package for recommended serving size
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Halal-friendly chicken or beef bacon bits (optional)
  • 1 bunch Green onions, chopped
  • ½ cup Sour cream
  • 1 small can Jalapeños, sliced (optional) For those who like it spicy!

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen fries package, usually around 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake them for the recommended time, usually 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden and crispy.
Cooking
  1. Once the fries are crispy, remove them from the oven. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese generously over the hot fries. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Take the fries out of the oven and immediately sprinkle with the Halal-friendly chicken or beef bacon bits, followed by the chopped green onions.
  3. Transfer the loaded fries to a serving platter. Top generously with dollops of sour cream and sliced jalapeños for an extra kick if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute with other cheeses and toppings. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven.
