Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare a breading station: In one bowl, place the flour and season it with a little salt and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Coating
- Coat the cheese: Take a cube of mozzarella cheese, dip it into the flour, then the beaten egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumbs. Ensure it’s fully covered. Repeat with all cheese cubes.
- Arrange the breaded mozzarella on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are spaced well apart to allow even cooking.
Baking
- Lightly spray the bites with olive oil to promote browning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Serving
- Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use almond flour instead of all-purpose flour. Consider adding herbs like oregano or Italian seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
