  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) Feel free to substitute with your favorite mix-ins.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for consistent baking.
  2. Grease a deep dish pie pan or a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until well combined and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until blended smoothly.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts if using.
  8. Pour the cookie dough into your prepared dish and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown while the center remains soft.
  10. Allow the pie to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy this warm with your favorite toppings!

Notes
