Preparation
- In a food processor, combine the mixed nuts and pitted dates. Blend until the mixture resembles a sticky dough, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Press the nut and date mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish, ensuring an even surface.
- In a small saucepan, melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the pressed nut mixture and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the sea salt on top.
- Chill the baking dish in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate is set. Once firm, remove from the dish and slice into bars.
Notes
To keep the bars fresh, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week. For long-term storage, freeze for up to three months wrapped in parchment paper.
