Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, brewed coffee, and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- Once cooled, slice the bread and serve warm.
Notes
For dairy-free option, substitute with plant-based butter and eggs with flaxseed meal mixed with water. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
