Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 8 large large flour tortillas
  • 1 lb ground beef or a Halal-friendly alternative
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or a Halal-friendly alternative
  • 2 cups tortilla chips

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  2. While the beef is cooking, lay out your tortillas on a flat surface.
  3. Start by adding a scoop of cooked ground beef to the center of each tortilla. Drizzle nacho cheese sauce over the beef.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream. Sprinkle broken tortilla chips on top for extra crunch.
  5. Carefully fold the edges of the tortilla towards the center to fully enclose the filling.
  6. In a hot skillet, place the folded Crunchwrap seam-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once crispy and golden, cut the Crunchwrap in half and serve it warm.

Notes

For vegetarian options, swap ground beef for black beans or grilled vegetables. Prepare toppings in advance and ensure to use large tortillas for easier folding.
