  • 1 pound chicken sausage Use Halal chicken sausage or your preferred type.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Add more cheese if desired.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • 8 ounces pasta Your choice of pasta.
  • 4 cups chicken broth Ensure it’s Halal.
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional chopped parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by dicing the onion and mincing the garlic. Cut the chicken sausage into bite-sized slices.
Layering the Crockpot
  1. Place the chicken sausage at the bottom of your crockpot. Follow with the diced onion and minced garlic.
Adding Ingredients
  1. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the ingredients and add your chosen pasta on top.
  2. Slowly pour in the chicken broth, ensuring the pasta is fully submerged. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. Check the pasta for doneness as cooking times may vary.
Finishing Touches
  1. About 30 minutes before serving, add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir to combine.
  2. Once it’s thickened and cheesy, serve hot and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to adjust the liquid if using an automatic crockpot, as it may become too soupy. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
