Preparation
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, sprinkle cornstarch over the chicken pieces and toss until evenly coated.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Place chicken in a single layer in the skillet and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened slightly.
- Add the crispy chicken back into the skillet and toss until well coated in the sauce.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider using panko breadcrumbs instead of cornstarch. For a vegetarian twist, try using vegetables or tofu while keeping it Halal-friendly. Avoid overcrowding the pan to maintain crispiness.
