Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Open the package of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Pinch the seams together, so you have a single rectangle instead of separate triangles.
- Cut the dough into strips, approximately 1 inch wide. Place about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end of each strip.
- Roll the strip tightly around the filling, twisting as you go to secure the mixture inside. Pinch the ends to seal the filling, and place the twisted pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
- Spray the tops with cooking spray or brush with olive oil for a golden finish. Bake them in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they’re golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm and crispy!
Notes
Top Tips: You can swap out the cheddar cheese for mozzarella or pepper jack for an extra kick. Keep an eye on the twists while baking to ensure they reach that perfect golden brown color without burning. Make sure to seal the edges well to prevent filling from oozing out during baking. Storing and Reheating: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to regain crispiness.
