- In a shallow bowl, combine crushed cornflakes or breadcbs, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and place the flour in a third bowl.
Coating the Chicken
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally press it into the cornflake mixture.
- Repeat the process with the remaining chicken breasts and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy and golden brown.
- Ensure the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
