  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg whisked
Coating Mixture
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes or breadcbs use whole wheat or panko for a healthier option
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese feel free to mix in other types of cheese for extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine crushed cornflakes or breadcbs, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg and place the flour in a third bowl.
Coating the Chicken
  1. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally press it into the cornflake mixture.
  2. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken breasts and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy and golden brown.
  2. Ensure the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

  1. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
