Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up until browned and no longer pink, around 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Fill cone-shaped taco shells with the beef mixture, sprinkle cheese on top, and add corn chips.
Baking
- Place the filled cones upright in a baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Serving
- Garnish with sour cream or fresh salsa as desired.
Notes
For best results, use freshly made ingredients and keep an eye on the baking time to prevent overcooking. You can also substitute ground beef with black beans and quinoa for a vegetarian twist.
