Method
Preparation
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about ½ inch using a meat mallet or rolling pin to ensure uniform cooking.
- In three separate bowls, prepare your breading station: mix flour with spices in Bowl 1; whisk eggs in Bowl 2; pour breadcrumbs into Bowl 3.
Breading
- Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, shake off excess, dip in egg wash, and coat with breadcrumbs, pressing down to adhere.
Air Frying
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken breasts in the basket.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (75°C).
Serving
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer, let it rest for a few minutes, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces or toppings.
Notes
For gluten-free options, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour and use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for optimal crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days; freeze for longer storage.
