Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it flat on a baking sheet. Press the seams together to form a solid crust.
Cooking the Beef
- In a skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the taco seasoning with a little water as per packet instructions. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Assembling and Baking
- Spread the seasoned meat evenly over the crescent roll crust. Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- Once out of the oven, add your diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and any other desired toppings.
- Slice your taco pizza, add a dollop of sour cream on each piece, and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra crispy crust, bake the crescent roll base alone for about 5 minutes before adding the topping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheating in the oven for best results.
