Cooking
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt a pat of butter. Add the soaked bread slices and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and caramelized.
- Place the cooked French toast on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar over the top of each slice and caramelize using a kitchen torch or oven broiler until a hard, crispy layer forms.
- Serve the Crème Brûlée French Toast warm with optional toppings like fresh berries or whipped cream.
