  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Other cheeses like mozzarella can be used.
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns, cut into quarters Any type of hamburger bun works.
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped Add more or less to taste.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Adjust quantity based on preference.
  • 1/4 cup mustard Adjust quantity based on preference.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped Shallots can be used for a milder flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare your baking tray by laying down parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the finely chopped onion to the skillet and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until soft.
  4. Lower the heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped pickles until melted.
  5. Spoon the meat-cheese mixture onto quarter pieces of hamburger buns and press gently to secure.
  6. Place the assembled snacks on the prepared tray and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup and mustard drizzled or on the side.

Notes

You can customize toppings and fillings according to your taste. For vegetarian options, substitute ground beef with lentils or black beans, and use vegan cheese.
