Method
Cooking Pasta
- In a large pot, boil water and add salt. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Add the broccoli florets during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta and broccoli.
Preparing the Sauce
- In the same pot, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Reduce heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream. Allow it to warm up (don't boil).
- Add the lemon juice and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
- Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the sauce. Toss everything together, making sure the pasta is well-coated.
- If the mixture seems too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.
Final Seasoning
- Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Serving

Notes
