- Begin by dicing your potatoes into small, even pieces, and chop the onion finely.
Cooking
- In your slow cooker, place the diced potatoes and chopped onions. Pour in the chicken broth until the vegetables are submerged.
- Add the cream cheese cubes to the mixture.
- Season with salt, pepper, and halal-friendly bacon bits.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally.
- About half an hour before serving, add the shredded cheddar cheese and heavy cream to the pot. Stir well and allow it to melt into the soup.
- Once ready, top with fresh chives for an added touch!
