  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup Can also be made homemade.
  • 1 cup milk Adjust for creaminess with heavy cream if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard Adds flavor to the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles or pasta of your choice
Optional Toppings
  • to taste crispy bread crumbs For a crunchy topping.
  • to taste additional cheese For a gooey cheese crust.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, cooked noodles, cream of chicken soup, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese generously over the top.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until golden and bubbly on top.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow to cool briefly before serving.

Notes

Use fully cooked chicken to save time. Adjust diners' preferences by mixing different cheese types for varied flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, and reheat in the oven or microwave.
