  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided into two portions
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs for topping, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sautéing
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until soft and fragrant (about 3-4 minutes).
Creamy Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and sour cream.
  2. Stir in the sautéed onions and garlic, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a greased baking dish.
  2. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, ensuring they are well covered.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
  1. If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle them over the cheese layer.
  2. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Enjoy with your favorite sides.

Notes

You can use chicken thighs for richer flavor. Add spice with red pepper flakes if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
