Method
Cook the Pasta
- Boil a large pot of salted water, add the pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining and set aside.
Sauté the Chicken
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the cubed chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce
- In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Add heavy cream and garlic powder, stirring well to incorporate. Allow it to simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combine Everything
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in the cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce thickness. Mix well and taste for seasoning doneness.
Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy your delightful bowl of Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of chicken broth for creaminess.
