Pasta and Chicken
  • 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta Choose your preferred type of pasta.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the chicken.
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed Ensure they are cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Adjust based on your heat preference.
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream Provides the creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth For added flavor in the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add the pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining and set aside.
Sauté the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the cubed chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Add heavy cream and garlic powder, stirring well to incorporate. Allow it to simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combine Everything
  1. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in the cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce thickness. Mix well and taste for seasoning doneness.

Notes
