Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 lb ground beef can substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning can add more for an extra kick.
  • 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta, cooking it according to the package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil, tossing in the chopped onion and bell peppers. Sauté them for about 3-5 minutes until they start to soften. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 7-9 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Once the beef is browned, pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir well to combine, letting the mixture simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  2. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the beef and sauce. Mix until the pasta is fully coated and heated through.
  3. Plate the Creamy Cajun Beef Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For storing, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Add a splash of beef broth or cream for reheating. Can be frozen for up to two months.
