Preparation
- Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta, cooking it according to the package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil, tossing in the chopped onion and bell peppers. Sauté them for about 3-5 minutes until they start to soften. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 7-9 minutes.
Cooking
- Once the beef is browned, pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir well to combine, letting the mixture simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the beef and sauce. Mix until the pasta is fully coated and heated through.
- Plate the Creamy Cajun Beef Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.
Notes
For storing, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Add a splash of beef broth or cream for reheating. Can be frozen for up to two months.
