Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 300 g pasta (your choice, penne or fusilli work great)
  • 500 g ground beef (make sure it’s Halal-certified)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or your favorite herbs)
  • to garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sautéing the Onion and Garlic
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion turns translucent and fragrant.
Browning the Ground Beef
  1. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until well browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Making the Creamy Sauce
  1. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken.
Combining Everything
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Sprinkle in the grated cheese and stir until melted and fully incorporated.
Serving and Garnishing
  1. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

For substitutions, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, add a splash of milk or cream to retain the creamy texture.
