Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Use Halal-certified for a Halal-friendly option.
  • 8 ounces shell pasta Substitute with gluten-free pasta if necessary.
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can be substituted with any cream soup variety.
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional garlic powder, onion powder, herbs Add according to preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the shell pasta and cook for about 8-10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula—around 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and milk into the browned beef. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the cooked shell pasta to the beef mixture, stirring until thoroughly combined.
  5. Sprinkle in the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until it’s melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs if desired.
  6. Your creamy dish is now ready! Serve hot, adding any desired toppings if you wish.

Notes

For storing leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat by microwaving or on low heat in a skillet, adding a splash of milk if the sauce thickens too much.
