  • 4 cups powdered sugar Add gradually to prevent a mess.

Preparation
  1. Soften both the cream cheese and butter to room temperature.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter.
  3. Use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat until smooth, approximately 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed.
  5. Incorporate vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
  6. Taste the frosting and adjust sweetness with more powdered sugar or a pinch of salt if necessary.
  7. Use a spatula or piping bag to frost your favorite baked goods.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to three months. Re-whip when thawing for the best texture.
