Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring until the mixture is crumbly. Press it into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Incorporate the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until everything is well-blended and creamy.
- Pour the cream cheese filling over the crust evenly. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set but a bit jiggly. Allow to cool completely at room temperature before slicing.
- Refrigerate the bars for at least two hours for the best texture. Cut into squares and serve chilled!
Notes
For the best flavor and texture, use ingredients at room temperature. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. If freezing, do so without toppings.
