Ingredients

Frosting Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar Gradually add to avoid mess.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor enhancement.
  • 1 pinch salt To balance the sweetness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Ensure both the cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for easy blending.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and butter. Beat on medium speed until creamy and smooth, approximately 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating on low speed to avoid a powdered sugar cloud. After incorporating all the sugar, increase the speed to medium-high and whip until fluffy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, and mix until fully integrated.
  5. Finish by whipping on high speed for another 1-2 minutes until light and airy, while still holding its shape.

Notes
