  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed Choose ripe avocados for the best flavor.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1-2 green onions, finely chopped Adjust based on preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to personal taste.
Wonton Ingredients
  • 20 pieces wonton wrappers About 20 pieces.
  • oil for frying (vegetable or canola) Enough to cover the wontons halfway.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed avocado and softened cream cheese.
  2. Stir in the finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, lime juice, salt, and pepper until everything is fully blended.
Assembly
  1. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the creamy filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges with a bit of water using your finger.
  4. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to create a triangle, pressing firmly to seal.
  5. Optionally, crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch.
Cooking
  1. In a deep skillet or saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Carefully place 3-4 wontons in the hot oil.
  3. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce, like sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider baking the wontons at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway until crispy and golden. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
