Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup brie cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • to taste none Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme or rosemary) for garnish Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry. Roll it out on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares (about 3 inches each).
Assembly
  1. Place a small dollop of cranberry sauce in the center of each pastry square. Top with a piece of brie cheese.
  2. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal, creating little packets.
Baking
  1. Use a pastry brush to apply the beaten egg on top of each bite for a perfect golden finish.
  2. Place the bites on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let the bites cool slightly before garnishing with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Puff pastry can burn quickly, keep a close watch during baking. Consider adding chopped nuts for texture or experimenting with different chutneys for flavor variations.
