  • 2 cups shredded leftover turkey Use any cooked turkey leftovers
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 10.5 oz can of cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken if preferred
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcbs or crushed crackers for topping For added crunch
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (optional) For a fluffy topping, if desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded turkey, mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, milk, half of the shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Pour the turkey mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Toppings and Baking
  1. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the turkey mixture.
  2. If using breadcbs or crushed crackers, evenly distribute them on top. Optionally, arrange biscuits on top, ensuring they touch for a golden finish.
  3. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Once removed from the oven, let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen for up to 2 months. For reheating, thaw overnight in the fridge and heat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
