Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Carefully slice the head of cabbage into approximately 1-inch thick steaks.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- On a large baking sheet, arrange the cabbage steaks. Brush both sides with the garlic butter mixture, then season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cabbage is tender and nicely caramelized.
Serving
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
To store leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for about a month. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
